Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information WebcamsDB.com ("WebcamsDB", "we", "us") processes when you visit https://webcamsdb.com (the "Site"), why, and what choices you have. The Site is for adults only.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by WebcamsDB, the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

2. What the Site is

WebcamsDB is a free directory of webcam models from third-party live cam platforms, currently Chaturbate, Stripchat, LiveJasmin and Streamate (the "Platforms"). Model profiles, online status, images and streams come from the Platforms' public feeds and APIs. We do not host live streams or model content, and you do not need an account to use the Site.

3. Information we process

Technical data

When you load a page, your browser sends us technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, the page you request and the referring page. Our web server and our CDN and security provider, Cloudflare, process this data to deliver the Site and protect it against abuse. Server logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days, and are used only for security and troubleshooting.

Approximate location and language

Cloudflare tells us your country and, in some countries, your state or region, based on your IP address. Your browser tells us your preferred languages. We use this on each request, without storing it, to:

  • hide models who have chosen not to be shown in your country, region or language;
  • hide model images and streams in countries and US states where the law requires age verification for adult websites (you can still follow the links to the Platforms, which verify age themselves).

Cookies

The Site uses these cookies:

  • accept_terms: remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so the age notice is not shown on every visit. Kept for 12 months.
  • camsdb-session and XSRF-TOKEN: technical cookies needed for the Site and its forms to work securely. Kept for 2 hours.
  • _ga and _ga_*: Google Analytics cookies, see below. Kept for up to 2 years.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the accept_terms cookie, the age notice will be shown again.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, to understand how the Site is used, for example which pages are visited and from which countries. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google may process the data in the United States; Google participates in the EU-US, UK-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks. Removal and DMCA requests

If you send a request through our DMCA and removal form, we store your name, email address, the profile link and your message, to handle the request and to keep a record of it. We keep these records for up to 3 years, unless the law requires longer, and we only use your email address to reply to your request.

4. Third parties

  • Cam Platforms. Model thumbnails are loaded directly from the Platforms' servers, and on Stripchat profiles the live player is provided by Stripchat. This means your browser connects to the Platforms, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. When you click a link to a Platform, you leave the Site; these are affiliate links, so the Platform can see that you came from us. The Platforms' own privacy policies apply to everything you do on their websites.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. delivers and protects the Site (CDN, security, location headers).
  • Google provides Google Analytics, as described above.
  • Our hosting provider stores the Site and its database.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

  • Legitimate interests: running and securing the Site, understanding how it is used (analytics), respecting the models' geographic restrictions, and handling removal requests.
  • Legal obligation: complying with age verification and other laws, and keeping records of legal requests.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. Because we do not have accounts, we usually hold very little information that we can link to you; the main exception is removal and DMCA requests. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Adults only

The Site is intended only for adults aged 18 or older, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

The Site is only available over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our servers and database is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
